We have recently introduced a new marketing tool — Viber campaigns! How does a Viber campaign differ from the familiar SMS? Who will find this new feature especially useful and what opportunities are now open to our clients? We'll explain everything step by step!
In Ukraine, there are 20 million unique users registered on the Viber messenger! This means that nearly every second resident of our country has this app installed.
Creating a Viber campaign using the TurboSMS service is just as easy as sending the good old SMS. However, the possibilities of messages have radically changed:
- 1 The text in a Viber message can be up to 1000 characters! Just imagine how much useful information you can share with your clients.
- 2 In Viber, you can (and should) send images. As we know, it's better to see the product once than hear about it a hundred times.
- 3 There is now a button feature, which can hide any link: whether it's a specific page on your website, a YouTube video, or an animated image.
- 4 A message can be multifunctional: containing text, an image, and a button! Sounds good, doesn't it?
- 5 Just like in regular SMS, a Viber message can include a link. Be careful: the link is formatted without the http or https protocol.
- 6 In Viber, you can send a wide variety of emojis. To insert an emoji into your text, simply copy it from the Viber app and paste it into your campaign text.
Personal Signature for Viber Campaigns
According to Viber's requirements, a personal signature (alpha name) is assigned only to users who purchase at least 55,000 credits per month. After making the monthly payment, you will use your credits to send Viber messages from your own name.
To activate the alpha name, you need to contact TurboSMS Support, provide your ID, and specify the date when you would like to “enable” the personal signature. Then, you will finalize the signature in the system and pay for the necessary credits. The activation time for the alpha name in the Viber system is from 3-4 days.
The monthly payment for the signature (55,000 credits) starts on the day of activation and is deactivated at the end of each month. To extend the use of the signature for the next month, you must make the required monthly payment.
If no alpha name is assigned, by default, all Viber messages sent via TurboSMS will arrive with the Mobibon signature.
