New Rules for Sending Transactional Viber Messages from January 1, 2021

Dear clients,

Starting from January 1, 2021, Rakuten Viber will introduce new rules for sending transactional messages. From this date, sending such messages will only be possible through pre-created and approved templates.

To add a transactional Viber message template, log in to the Control Panel and go to the section Add Viber Template. After you add your template, we will check it for compliance with the requirements and send it for registration with Viber.

You can check the status of your template registration in the My Templates section. Template registration with Viber may take up to 5 business days. Once the template is approved, you will be able to send Viber messages at the transactional rate.

We also inform you that our terms of service have been updated due to this event (sections 2.27.1, 4.17.1, 5.8).
