On January 23, 2023, the global release of the Viber application took place with two important updates.
The «Business Chats» Folder
Users now have a dedicated folder on their chat screen for interactions with brands. All business messages will be placed in this folder by default.
Users can pin conversations with specific brands to the top of this folder or move and pin them to the main chat screen if desired.
When a new business message arrives, a notification appears on the locked screen.
Commercial Account
In addition to the company address and description on the brand page, buttons like "Share Account" and "Call" have been added.
Users can now search for a brand's commercial account even if they have never interacted with the brand before.
After the release, all regular business accounts were upgraded to commercial accounts.
You don't need to do anything; all updates were applied automatically.
These updates are expected to positively impact message campaign conversions and improve business-user interactions. According to Viber, the Open Rate of messages is projected to increase.
