Starting from August 1, 2021, mobile operators in Kazakhstan Altel and Tele2 will prohibit sending SMS messages with a general sender signature. From this date, messages sent from a general sender will be blocked in these operators' networks.
Sending SMS with a general sender signature will only be available in the networks of Kcell and Beeline operators.
To send SMS messages to Altel and Tele2 network subscribers from 1.08.2021, you need to register your own sender name for these operators.
To register an international sender name, non-residents of Kazakhstan must provide a scanned copy of an official application with a signature and stamp, composed in free form on the company's letterhead and containing the following data (application template):
- Sender signature for registration (up to 11 Latin characters).
- Desired activation date for the signature.
- Name of the legal entity or entrepreneur.
- Brief description of the service (business activity).
- Company website address (if unavailable, indicate this).
- Agreement with the terms of use for the International Sender Name and the cost of sending International SMS messages.
The letter must include a scanned copy of a document confirming the state registration of a legal entity or entrepreneur, showing the registration number.
Monthly fee for using a custom sender signature for Altel and Tele2 operators is 1,400 UAH for both operators. You can find out the cost of sending SMS messages from an international sender name on the pricing page.
Only residents of Kazakhstan can register a National Sender Name. For more details, please contact Customer Support.
